Who says that shyness needs to be cured? Just because society doesn't see the value in shyness, what is the reason that we can't learn to appreciate its value. Shy people tend to be more observant, as they are more cautious to become involved. This observation leads to greater depth and understanding. Shy people can appreciate subtleties without everything needing to exceed a threshold before it can even be noticed. They are more in tune with their senses and offer more dimensions to any encounter. They see more variety and aren't bored easily or as dependent on others to entertain them. If this is an illness, give it to me any day. |
