Take heart, shy people: some of the best-loved and well-known entertainers, past and present, can be very shy in their personal lives. There are lots of artists, writers, actors, even talk-show hosts, who are very 'loud' and visible in their professions but can be sweet and shy in their private lives. So we may think we are really different from others... but I would be willing to bet, there are more shy celebrities in the world than people tend to believe. A lot of shy types have great talent and personalities.
