hot mess with social anxiety I have social anxiety disorder and I feel like it has a stranglehold on me sometimes. It has created a huge void in my life, as far as close relationships go. Some people tell me that they don't notice my shyness, but I always carry my difficulties with me.

I am a complicated but interesting person who is quite tired of feeling lonely and sitting in my rocking chair with a shawl around me staring out the window every day.

By day, I am a graphic designer. I am an intellectually curious person, and I hope you are too. I enjoy things like listening to podcasts from Australia and Canada, watching documentaries, and doing crosswords. I can remember useless information like all 50 state capitals and the four official languages of Switzerland — but cannot remember for the life of me when to get my oil changed or to check my tires.

An ex-colleague recently told me that she missed my sarcasm, and that the resident smart --- at her new company couldn't hold a candle to me. I thought that was the nicest thing anyone had said to me in months. Oh, and fwiw, people have told me that I remind them of Claire Fisher from Six Feet Under, and Juno.

I am looking for a nice guy who is amazing, genuine, honorable, funny, curious, and has at least a couple of the same interests as me. I would have to say I am pretty easygoing when it comes to any quirks because I am the same way myself. I'm not at all interested in how much money you have, how nice your car is, or how many wonderful things you can buy for me. I just want your love and company.

That's about it. Oh, and you must despise the font Comic Sans.
