My shyness has ameliorated considerably I used to be exceedingly shy, but essentially my life has been one long journey of systematic desensitisation; so now I'm quite comfortable around people. Obviously there are times when I am less outspoken (particularly in large groups), but I remind myself of how much my social confidence has improved and everything becomes better. Besides, it seems that notion of being vociferous as being a desirable trait is somewhat culturally-specific. I am told that being quiet is a virtue in other cultures! Anyway, about me...I am well-educated, enjoy intelligent conversation and love anything active, especially cycling (currently riding a fixed gear bike which is immensely fun).
