As a native american I am naturally quiet in most situations. We generally do not like to talk about ourselves because our culture is arranged so others do this for us. My culture is woven with subtle communicative clues and meanings which makes misunderstanding a constant possibility. Because of these things, we try to listen more often than talk so we do not offend people or take offense. In todays society, this is difficult. Many people do not consider anyone but themselves when they act or talk. In the village, this is almost unknown.
I am hoping to find others who are considerate and compassionate with others. Of course a sense of humor is essential.
