I grew up in an emotionally abusive household. In my teens, I developed social anxiety disorder and severe depression. Because of this, I didn't go to parties...just going out to a crowded mall was stressful enough. Now, I do go out occasionally but just for necessity...like grocery shopping etc...but my anxiety is embarrassing because the most noticeable thing is that I sweat excessively when I'm anxious - so much so that, even in the winter time, in the grocery store, I have sweat pouring down my face and my face is red even though I have my coat off and wearing a tank top. So, being shy as well, I have not have much success in the dating game. Making friends is hard enough to do. If I make friends, they eventually leave me because they realize that I'm not "fun"...because I don't want to go out to the bars or anywhere else for that matter...they get bored with me. Anxiety can really limit your life. Anyways, I'd like to talk to someone who has similar experiences and enjoys just sitting at home and watching tv and/or talking, someone who is non-judgmental, empathetic and patient.
