Not Forever Trapped Hello Everyone!

Me? I'm just a regular guy with panic disorder... Had it all my life, but it hasn't been too much of a problem up until the past several years.

I was able to lead a fairly normal lifestyle... Work, marriage, kids, friends.. Most everything a "normal" person could do.

When the medications stopped working in 2006, I discovered the wonderful world of benzo withdrawal (j/k).. 2+ years of tapering - now, dealing with residual symptoms and sometimes severe panic episodes... Not that you'd notice.. I hide it well...

Been almost housebound the past several months... Not much fun!

I like to get out! I like to have fun!

So, poking around on the computer, I found this site and thought I'd give it a try... I haven't done the Internet dating thing before..

I need to find some friends who are familiar with panic disorder/social anxiety disorder and how debilitating it can be. I'm not finding them where I live... They are probably hiding, lol...

I'm not really shy at all once I get to know someone... Far from it... It's that initial stage that's hard for me.
