Hello, I'm an underemployed 24-year-old (debt-free!) grad student who's also the hopeless romantic sort. I am primarily looking to find someone with whom I share a few common interests. I would prefer that a relationship is not strictly platonic, and I would like to date, but I certainly plan on getting to know someone very well before I even consider trying anything untoward. Admittedly, I only have minor experience with such relationships, and I've never actually tried online dating before, but I want to find a girl who, at the very least, is somewhat shy and introverted like myself. I have met several girls whose personality type is very different from mine and, although they were all nice, I feel like their outgoing nature and, perhaps, even their dissatisfaction with my own shyness contributed to such relationships lacking the spark necessary to survive.
I'm currently in a teaching program, and I occasionally substitute when I'm not working my physically-taxing manual labor job. I like to go jogging when I can, and I'm a bit of a news junkie. Other than work, exercise, seeing friends every now and then, and the rare shopping excursion, I don't really go out very often. Aside from all of that, I'm fairly flexible with movie, TV, and music choices, and I have eclectic tastes in all three.
