My female friends describe me as sweet, sensitive, and shy, often serious-minded but with an absurd sense of humor. I don't like parties very much, but I enjoy one-on-one conversation, especially about the sciences, philosophy, language, politics, and the arts. I don't claim to have any special knowledge or insight on any of those topics, just the basics, but I'll listen to and take seriously anything you have to say about them. I like to read, write, take walks, go camping (though I haven't found the time lately) and mess around with my drum machine. Board- and lawn-games are neat too.

Looking for a partner to initiate and share creative projects of all kinds with. Ideally we'd catalyze each other's creative sides, and help each other understand the world a bit better. Optimism almost always brings a smile to my face, and kindness, honesty, reason, straightforwardness, and modesty are very attractive. Traits like materialism and arrogance are not, but you'd be incomplete without a few flaws, which can sometimes be very endearing. A motivated personality is nice, provided you can be lazy and relaxed every once in a while too. Quirky or bizarre interests are a definite plus.
