Big Guy With Big Love In His Heart I am looking to become friends (or something more significant) with someone who knows what it is like to have esoteric interests. You need not do math problems for fun, but you need to respect that I do math problems for fun.

I'd be especially interested in meeting someone who has their own set of much-beloved interests and is looking for someone with whom to share the experience. I probably won't foist math onto *you* (unless you also happen to enjoy it . . . then maybe), but I may attempt to lure you in with a few other interests of mine, be they mainstream or deeply nerdy.

I am the sort of guy who has always been very proud of his nerdiness, so hopefully we have that in common. It's provided me with a good life, good friends, a decent job, personal security and hours a host of other things.

Do I embarrass my family when I drone on about the exclusion principle, or Pareto optimality of the solutions they have adopted to inter-familial disputes? Oh sure, but they embarrass me too. That is what families do...I believe that is called "the circle of life."

I am generally a romantic with a subtly cynical side. That may sound like a contradiction, but it meshes together in a harmonious way.

If you are willing to take a chance, I think you will find that I am a pleasant and interesting guy.
