My personality:
I'm pretty much the prototypical Myers Briggs INTP. I'm generally quiet, reserved, introspective, *nalytical, and skeptical. I'm extremely interested in psychology, philosophy, and (to a somewhat lesser extent) law. I have little tolerance for ideas that are accepted on the basis of social custom and authority. Ideas should be accepted on the basis of their *merit*. I could go on and on about my personality, but I will save myself some time and advise the matchmaker reading this to check out the description of INTP's on Wikipedia (or any reputable psychology website). I know most people like to think that they are a unique special snowflake, but science shows otherwise. People of the same Myers Briggs type usually have the same *behavioral tendencies.* People scoring similar on the conscientiousness Big 5 Personality trait will have remarkably similar success in school, etc.
Myers-Briggs perceivers seem to have a much lower "need for achievement," on average, than judgers. It's worth noting that psychologist McClelland thought society could be categorized into high achievers and low achievers based on their need for achievement test scores. I *definitely* fit better in the latter group. I think ambition is extremely overrated; my main "ambition" in life is to be happy and to make others happy. I don't feel any need or desire to be a doctorate or the head of some big company.
I think my personality and general demeanor is much more interesting than my accomplishments, but I surmise matchmaker's probably need the latter as well.
