Shy Passions, Tee Hee! Listen, just because I've always been shy, it doesn't mean I need the help of
a social worker to attend parties. I've
had to make great effort to overcome my
shyness most of my life. I've been pretty successful. I need to know if there are other people who were just born this way. Nothing traumatic ever happened to me that would cause me to be shy. Yet, when I was a child, I hid in closets when we had company.
When I attend social events, I pay close
attention to other people and gravitate toward an extrovert because I know another shy person may not be able to talk to me any easier than I to them. I
think this is one reason they say "opposites attract." It is easier for me to communicate with others via the internet than in person because I'm not overwhelmed by their attitude nor
appearance.
