A lifetime of social anxiety has resulted in two failed marriages and constant reticence of being part of a group that would cause me to have a panic attack. Few people even know this about me, but I keep so much from others that few know I'm deathly afraid of flying and have ever been on an airplane. Basically, I'm very friendly and gregarious but I constantly am vigilant not to get trapped in a situation where I might have a panic attack. Medications have helped me live a relatively happy life, but I've missed out on so many of the social aspects of having lots of good friends and lovers. I can only hope to find people in this group who understands what I'm saying.
