Looking for like-minded girls You would learn more about me in a 10 minute chat than a 1000 word profile, but nevertheless, here's a brief self-description.

I guess I'm a bit of an idealist...a dreamer maybe. I have a healthy imagination and a fairly inquisitive mind. I often find myself pondering about something or other, sometimes even talking to myself. lol

I'm not an incessant socialiser - far from it, and although I do enjoy plenty of time alone, I also value the company of others. Around strangers I am usually shy, but when with friends I'll chat and make jokes all night long. I'm a really honest individual - sometimes too honest for my own good, but it's an attribute in others that I require for friendship.

I have a fair few interests, including history (especially the mediaeval and ancient epochs), mythology, photography, politics, web design,computer programming, creative writing and reading. I love fantasy and sci-fi, especially Lords of the Rings, George R R Martin's writing, Babylon 5, Star Wars and

Star Trek. I also love to learn. I'm currently teaching myself Latin and you'll always find a bookmarked history book somewhere in my room. Perhaps I'm a bit of a geek or nerd.

My favourite music is metal, especially power, viking, epic black and melodic death. I also love neo-mediaeval music and orchestral sound tracks. Anything
that sounds 'epic' sets off my imagination.

Humour is very important for me. I love to laugh, whether it's at a clever pun, a satirical news show, a outlandish internet video or some smutty adult
humour. Two of my favourite comedies are the Yes Minister series and The Big Bang Theory. A shared sense of humour is very important for friendship,
IMO.
