You would be surprised to know that.. I am a very shy person. I have to constantly work against it. I was always a bit of a wallflower and always felt awkward in groups or crowds. I have never been one to NEED a lot of people around me and I have never been someone who is easily lonely. I usually always find things to do so I am not bored or lonely. Also my cat is a great companion. I do think that this has been negative in that I now find myself 56 yrs. old and without a significant other. I have been so independent and such a loner for so long time has slipped up on me and now I am older and there isn't much out there from which to choose. I now have a great fear I will grow old and be all alone.
