I'd describe myself as a bit of an intellectual, I spend most of my free time reading (partly for lack of better options at the moment), interested in history, some philosophy and literature and science... I also like movies, mostly drama, which is also where my taste in literature lies.

I'm a painfully shy person, but I do like being around people I'm comfortable with. Ideally I'd want to get to know someone online for a while, via email, before actually meeting for a date. I'm a compassionate person who finds it easier to begin to care for new people than most other people seem to.

I may be a bit eccentric, but I'm not wierd, and after serious soul searching have decided that there is no reason why I should wallow in loneliness my entire life. I don't deserve it, and out there are probably plenty of others who are lonely and wonder if it will ever change. If you are a woman near my age, and also feel like there's no reason for you to be alone, write to me and maybe at least we'll find friendship, if not more.
