well hello there... Greetings. I'm Tom, and I'm not entirely sure how to sell myself on here but I've basically come here looking for new people, new friends and new experiences.

First things first, I'm well into my music, more than is probably healthy in fact - I listen to far too much to list here but a few of my favourites are Sleater-Kinney, Sonic Youth, My Valentine, the Pixies, the Fall, Deerhunter etc.

I also enjoy music geek pursuits like making mixtapes and lists far more than I probably should. I get to gigs fairly regularly but finding new people to go would be a massive bonus and is one of the main reasons I'm here, I would say.

I also live within staggering distance of Oxford Road in Manchester, so I'm close to loads of venues, which certainly has its benefits.

Besides all that, I also enjoy films, comedy, discovering new towns and cities and old man pubs also hold a special place in my heart. I'm a football fan too, but I'll leave that there for now!

I can be a little on the awkward side but I'm okay once you get to know me, honest. Oh, and I'm also very fond of sarcasm and terrible jokes and I am a mine of useless information, just so you know.
