A missing peice. I grew up in a small community where very little happened. I found few friends and only a fewer I could actually call my friends and I was happy with that. I proved myself with hard work through school and sports only to still feel incomplete. Ribbons and medals from ROTC, plaques and letters for wrestling, and awards through grades only filled my satisfaction barely. Aside from my true friends and my family, I never found out who I thought long and hard. I had always been a few with little words to everyone. Only my friends and family see the happy, outgoing, and eventual risk taker side of me, but the true me was still hidden. I have seen many beautiful girls but quickly realized that the "HIGH LIFE" was not for me as it was for them, I never complaned about it and never acknowledged it. I soon realized that this was keeping me down and kept a missing peice from me i could never fill alone and that changing myself to a differnt standard for people would not make me feel any better. Although I carry on through my college work for a better job and hopefully an Officer's career in the Air Force, that missing piece of me still keeps me awake at night hoping I could finally find someone who is shy like me, to understand and hopefully fill my heart with warmth for a long time.
