Kind-hearted guy looking for friendship, possible love Hello,

I have just joined this site, so I'm sorry if this section seems a bit brief and vague. I'll re-write it just as soon as I have time...

I'm a 33yr British guy and I've been living in LA since spring 2008. I came here to take-up a research job at USC, which I am enjoying very much.

I have many interests and enjoy a good conversation on most subjects (except sport!). I like art, history, comedy (particularly British comedy), relaxing on the beach, looking round museums... I am not much into parties or noisy bars; I prefer quieter surroundings, much more conducive to getting to know people.

I used to be extremely shy. I have partially overcome my shyness, but I am still much more comfortable in smaller groups.
