Do people find it hard to believe you're shy? Online I can be a bit talkative and no one really believes I'm shy until they meet me in person. I am the kind of person that hates confrontation and I'd rather stay quiet than say my piece if I think it'll cause a problem.
I have some levels of social anxiety so big parties aren't really my thing - which is fine by me anyway, because I have much more fun in smaller groups or one on one. I'm a loner type and enjoy things like watching movies, reading and listening to the radio - but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy talking if the subject is right.
I do have a tendency to get very passionate on topics and once I let my guard down with someone it might be hard to believe I'm shy at all, but it does take breaking that ice at first.
